I work at Ming Wo, which is a kitchen gadgets cooking store. There is stock every day that arrives and literally there is no room to move at times. Every day I work there is something to do which is good. But when I come home I find that I'm wanting so much to veg and do nothing which I know is very wrong because I still have other projects that need my attention.
I have been debating to take my laptop with me to work, and do stuff on my break, but apart from the theft factor, there is no place to get an internet connection except Starbucks.
Christmas at that store is insanity personified. Everyone is doing their shopping early, and no word of a lie, I've sold everything from $ 10.00 stocking stuffers to $200.00 frying pans. Add to that everyone who wants to get a jump on their baking and you have one hopping little place.
And incidentally, creme brulee is the dessert of choice this year. We've been bringing in so many types of butane torches, ramekins (the dishes they're served in) and books it's unbelievable. The one drawback to working in a kitchen store is conversations will revolve around food.
It is a good thing that I actually do some cooking so I know what I'm talking about to a degree.
